January 14, 2025: As Hrithik Roshan celebrates the 25th anniversary of his debut film Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, the Bollywood heartthrob took a moment to reflect on his journey and share nostalgic memories with his fans. On Instagram, Hrithik posted photos of handwritten notes from the time he was preparing for the movie, offering a glimpse into his early days in the industry.
In his heartfelt post, Hrithik recalled the nervousness and excitement he felt as he embarked on his first big project. He noted that despite the years, his approach to acting remains largely the same. "I remember how nervous I was. Still am when starting a movie," he shared, revealing how those early days still resonate with him.
The actor also shared some motivational words he had written to keep himself focused during the intense preparation for his role. One note read: "One life. That's it—only one life, one chance, don't f*** it up, don't give a s*** about small failures... Just keep going, don't break." Hrithik also emphasized the importance of trusting instincts and embracing failure as part of the process.
Reflecting on his meticulous approach to preparing for the role, Hrithik humorously shared one of his notes: "Need a lot of biceps for broader upper chest also." He also noted a reminder about speech preparation, writing, "Speech-talk without being conscious at all of stuttering... It doesn't happen anymore! It's all in the mind!"
As he looked back on the journey, Hrithik acknowledged how much had changed over the years, but how much had also remained the same. "After 25 years of being in the industry, I guess I can handle it. Then to now, what's changed? I see these pages and realise—absolutely nothing," he wrote, adding, "Good thing? Bad thing? It's just how it is. Only process remains."
Reflecting on his growth and the success of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Hrithik expressed gratitude for all he has achieved. "So much to be thankful for. So much to be grateful for. So much left to do," he said.
Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, which was released in 2000, became a massive hit and marked the debut of both Hrithik and actress Ameesha Patel. Directed by Hrithik's father, Rakesh Roshan, the film saw Hrithik play a dual role as Rohit, a singer, and his lookalike Raj, in a tale of love, loss, and revenge. To celebrate its silver jubilee, the film was recently re-released in theatres.
Hrithik is currently preparing for his upcoming role in War 2, the sequel to the successful 2019 action-thriller War.
