'Ask Salman Bhai': Ashneer Grover Reacts to Alleged Bigg Boss 19 Wild Card Invitation
The entrepreneur, currently hosting ‘Rise And Fall’, used an unverified casting email to playfully reignite his public feud with Bigg Boss host Salman Khan, referencing their past confrontation.
Entrepreneur and former Shark Tank India judge Ashneer Grover has injected fresh drama into his ongoing, public friction with superstar Salman Khan The clash dates back to a heated face-off on the set of Bigg Boss 18 last year.
On Friday, Ashneer Grover, who is currently hosting the reality series Rise And Fall, took to his Instagram stories to share a screenshot of an email, purportedly from Banijay Group India, inviting him to join Bigg Boss 19 as a wild card contestant.
The authenticity of the email remains unverified, but Grover used the opportunity for a classic Ashneer-style quip, challenging the Bigg Boss host directly in his reply:
“Haha! Salman bhai se pooch le!! Mai to free ho jaaunga tab tak (Ask Salman Khan. I will get free by then).”
He also couldn’t resist poking fun at the email format itself, suggesting it might have been a generic mass mailing:
“Yeh ‘mail merge’ kisi ki to naukri khayega 🙁.”
The public spat between the two celebrities originated from a previous interview where Ashneer Grover recounted an incident during a sponsored ad shoot with Salman Khan. Ashneer had claimed that Salman’s manager told him the superstar would not take a photo with him.
This claim led to a confrontation when Ashneer appeared as a guest on Bigg Boss 18 in 2024. Salman Khan used his hosting platform to school Ashneer, grilling him over the controversial statement and advising him to be more careful with his public comments.
During the exchange on Bigg Boss 18, Salman directly contradicted Ashneer’s narrative:
“Meeting was not held with you but with your team. Maybe you were also present there. We have not had any discussions. I saw what you said. You presented that we befooled you. This is wrong. Those numbers were wrong,” Salman stated.
Ashneer apologised at the time, telling Salman that he had not intended to disrespect him. However, his latest Instagram story suggests the rivalry, though mostly playful now, is far from forgotten.
