Entrepreneur-turned-host Ashneer Grover, known for his unfiltered opinions, has seemingly accused superstar Salman Khan of making Bigg Boss more about him than its contestants. The comments come as Grover takes on a rival show, Rise and Fall, on Prime Video.

Sepyember 12, 2025: The long-running public feud between entrepreneur Ashneer Grover and celebrity Salman Khan has flared up again. Salman Khan is the host of Bigg Boss 19 right now, while Grover is the host of the new show Rise & Fall. The ex-judge from “Shark Tank India” has directly criticized Khan’s way of hosting.

In a recent interview, Grover quietly but clearly slammed Bigg Boss, claiming that reality shows in India are now “more about [the superstar host] than the contestants.” He said that the “balance of power” should go back to the people who are generating the stuff and putting in the hours, not the presenter, who only shows up on weekends. “Who is really working? “Jo 24 ghante lage hain woh to contestant lage hue hain,” Grover told News18 Showsha. “Bhai, you are coming this weekend.”

This new comment is just the most recent in a lengthy history of public confrontations between the two. The fight got a lot of attention when Grover talked about something that happened during a sponsored ad shoot. He added that Salman Khan’s manager had warned him that the star would not take a picture with him. Grover’s honest description of what happened, in which he said, “Maine kaha saale, maine bola, nahi khichwaunga photo, bhaad main ja tu,” drew a lot of attention.

Things went pretty nasty when Grover was on Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 18 in 2024. Salman questioned Grover hard questions about what he had stated before and told him that he was giving people the wrong idea. “I read what you wrote. You said we fooled you. Salman said, “Those numbers were wrong,” which made Grover express he was sorry and clarify that he didn’t mean to be harsh.

Rise & Fall, Grover’s new reality show, has an interesting idea: the contestants are split between “Rulers” who live in a luxury penthouse and “Workers” who reside in a basement. Depending on how well they do, their jobs change all the time. Many people see the show as a more strategic and game-based way to do things than the interpersonal drama of Bigg Boss.
