Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora Unleashes Third-Person Mode & New Game Plus In Free Mega Update

Massive Entertainment Announces Major Free Update for ‘Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’ Featuring Third-Person Mode and New Game Plus

STOCKHOLM, Sweden—July 23, 2025— Gamers who are excited to explore the colorful world of Pandora in “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora” have something to celebrate. Massive Entertainment, the game’s developer, has announced a big free update for the action-adventure game that will come out on December 5, 2025. This patch, which people have been waiting for, will add two of the most requested features: a full Third-Person Mode and New Game Plus.

This next update shows that the team is dedicated to changing the game based on what players say. Omar Bouali, creative director at Massive Entertainment, said, “We have always seen Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora as a living world that changes with our players.” “We’re thankful to our players for their support, and this update is a celebration of how much they care about the game.” It means a lot to our crew.

See Pandora in a different light
The new Third-Person Mode is a great opportunity for gamers to explore Pandora’s beautiful, alien environments in a new way. Players will be able to switch from the game’s original first-person view with the push of a button. This will give them “a new sense of scale, freedom, and immersion.”

Massive Entertainment has worked hard to make sure this new point of view is smooth and easy to use. The development team has carefully changed the animations, controls, music, and camera systems so that players can easily switch between first-person and third-person gameplay, whether they are exploring, battling, or just taking in the beautiful surroundings.

New Game Plus lets you play the Adventure again.
If you’ve previously finished the exciting story of “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora” and want to try something new, the New Game Plus feature will be a great addition. This option lets players start the game’s interesting tale over again while keeping their skills and items from their last session.

But it won’t be easy to walk through the Western Frontier. New Game Plus will add tougher foes, which will require players to be more strategic. To make this battle even harder, the mode will also open up a brand-new skill tree that lets you learn new skills and level up, as well as giving you access to better, higher-level items. This lets experienced gamers go further into Pandora, where they will find a more challenging and rewarding experience.

The free update on December 5, 2025, shows that Massive Entertainment is still committed to supporting “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora” after it comes out. This comes after two story packs, “The Sky Breaker” and “Secrets of the Spires,” were added, as well as other quality-of-life upgrades since the game came out in December 2023. This big upgrade comes out shortly before the next Avatar movie, “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” which is set to come out on December 19, 2025.
