Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr Begin Filming ‘Ginny Weds Sunny 2’ in Mussoorie

May 14, 2025 : The much-awaited sequel to the romantic comedy Ginny Weds Sunny has officially gone on floors, with actors Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr kicking off the film’s first shooting schedule in the scenic hill town of Mussoorie.

The makers announced the commencement of filming on social media, sharing behind-the-scenes photos of the lead pair and expressing excitement about the journey ahead.
“Get ready for a rollercoaster of Romance, Comedy, and Drama as the First Schedule of Ginny Weds Sunny 2 officially begins! Excited to begin this journey with an amazing team!” the post read.

Directed and written by Prasshant Jha, the sequel aims to deliver a delightful blend of romance, humor, and heartfelt drama, while building on the original film’s charm. Backed by Soundarya Productions, the studio has previously been associated with audience favorites like Tanu Weds Manu and Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana.

Speaking about the film, producer Vinod Bachchan shared,
