Ayushmann Khurrana Releases New Song 'Reh Ja'
Actor-singer Ayushmann Khurrana has released a new track titled ‘Reh Ja’. Produced by Himonshu Parikh, with female vocals by Harjot Kaur, the song delves into the complex emotions of heartbreak.
Ayushmann explained the inspiration behind ‘Reh Ja’, saying, “Heartbreaks are layered and bring a deluge of emotions. I love all the shades of romance and have always wanted to write more about heartbreaks. It is raw, unfiltered, and cathartic. Just because you break up doesn’t mean you stop loving someone, caring for them, or craving their presence constantly.”
He continued, “Reh Ja is my attempt to show the complexity of heartbreak and the purity of love and longing, even when your heart is breaking into a million pieces.”
Ayushmann shared that the idea for this song came to him around four years ago when synth-pop was still an indie genre in the West. He mentioned, “I have written the lyrics and composed the song, while the programming is done by Himonshu with little inputs from me. This is my second single with Warner Music India, and I’m hoping you love it.”
On the acting front, Ayushmann is reportedly set to share screen space with Kareena Kapoor Khan in director Meghna Gulzar’s new film ‘Daayra’. Additionally, he will be seen alongside Sara Ali Khan in an upcoming action-comedy produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment. Directed by Aakash Kaushik, this will be their third theatrical collaboration.
