Bollywood stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan are set to light up the screen together for the first time in an upcoming action-comedy. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment, this film marks their third theatrical collaboration. Directed by Aakash Kaushik, the film is yet to be titled.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the exciting news on Instagram, writing, “AYUSHMANN – SARA ALI KHAN TO STAR IN DHARMA – SIKHYA’S ACTION-COMEDY. Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment reunite, this time for an action-comedy headlined by #AyushmannKhurrana and #SaraAliKhan. Written and directed by Aakash Kaushik, this is Dharma and Sikhya’s third theatrical collaboration. Shooting has begun. Title will be announced soon.”
Fans were quick to express their excitement in the comments, with one user writing, “So happy finally Sara x Ayushmann,” and another adding, “Good news of the day. Can’t wait.”
This project will be Ayushmann Khurrana’s first collaboration with Karan Johar. Khurrana was last seen in ‘Dream Girl 2,’ which co-starred Ananya Panday, Annu Kapoor, and Abhishek Banerjee, a film that received a warm reception from audiences.
Sara Ali Khan, on the other hand, will soon appear in ‘Metro…In Dino’ and has been praised for her performances in ‘Murder Mubarak’ and ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan.’ The latter, based on the life of freedom fighter Usha Mehta, is also backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and features a notable cast including Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O’ Neil, Anand Tiwari, and a special appearance by Emraan Hashmi as nationalist Ram Manohar Lohia.
