Ayushmann Khurrana's Wife Tahira Kashyap Diagnosed With Breast Cancer for the Second Time: “I Still Got This”
Mumbai | April 7, 2025 — Filmmaker Tahira Kashyap, wife of actor Ayushmann Khurrana, revealed via Instagram that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer once again—seven years after her initial battle with the disease. Sharing her diagnosis with grace and resilience, Tahira emphasized the importance of regular screenings and keeping one’s spirits high through health setbacks.
In her heartfelt post, Tahira wrote:
“Seven-year itch or the power of regular screening—it’s a perspective. I’d like to go with the latter and suggest the same for everyone who needs to get regular mammograms. Round 2 for me… I still got this.”
Accompanying her note, she also reflected on the timing of her revelation:
“Ironically or not, today is World Health Day. Let’s do whatever we can in our capacity to take care of ourselves. Gratitude through and through.”
Tahira, known for her uplifting voice and candor, added her signature touch of humour and optimism:
“When life becomes too generous and throws lemons at you again, you squeeze them calmly into your favourite kala khatta drink and sip it with all the good intentions… because you know you’ll give it your best once again.”
Tahira was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, and she turned her personal journey into a mission for awareness. She openly shared her battle with the disease, including photos of her post-surgery and bald look—breaking taboos and becoming an inspiration to many.
In past interviews, Tahira spoke about her family’s initial discomfort with her openness and how she had to work through both the physical and emotional tolls of recovery. Despite all that, she stood by her belief: that transparency can heal, inform, and empower.
Following her recent announcement, the comment section of her Instagram has been flooded with messages of strength and support from fans, friends, and the film industry. Many lauded her courage and admired her spirit as she prepared to take on cancer again.
On the professional front, Tahira made her directorial debut last year with Sharmajee Ki Beti, a slice-of-life dramedy that premiered on Amazon Prime Video. The film received praise for its nuanced portrayal of women across different generations.
As Tahira gears up for this new fight, she remains a symbol of strength, honesty, and hope—reminding everyone that vulnerability can be powerful, and self-care is non-negotiable.
Stay tuned for more updates, and let’s keep Tahira in our thoughts as she takes on this battle with unmatched courage and positivity. 💪💖
