Ayushmann, Rashmika Team Up For Horror-Comedy 'Thama'
October 30, 2024: Following the blockbuster success of Stree 2, producer Dinesh Vijan has announced a new horror-comedy film titled Thama, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. The film is set to be released in theaters on Diwali 2025 and will also feature notable actors Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Maddock Films shared the announcement teaser on Instagram, stating, “Dinesh Vijan’s Horror Comedy Universe needed a love story… unfortunately, it’s a bloody one. Brace yourselves for #Thama – Diwali 2025!” The teaser humorously hints at the film’s mix of romance and horror with the tagline, “This universe needed a love story, unfortunately, it’s a bloody one.”
The film will be directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, known for Munjya, while Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik will produce it. The screenplay is crafted by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara.
In addition to Thama, Ayushmann is set to star alongside Sara Ali Khan in an untitled project, while Rashmika has Sikandar with Salman Khan in the pipeline. The excitement around Thama marks another intriguing addition to the growing horror-comedy genre in Bollywood.
