B Praak Cancels BeerBiceps Podcast Appearance Amid Backlash Against Ranveer Allahbadia
Mumbai, February 11: Singer B Praak has withdrawn from an upcoming appearance on BeerBiceps' podcast following widespread outrage over controversial comments made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia.
Taking to Instagram, B Praak announced his decision in a video, strongly condemning the offensive language and "pathetic thinking" that he believes Allahbadia's platform promotes.
The singer expressed his disappointment, stating that while he had initially agreed to appear on the podcast, he could not support content that disrespects Indian culture and values.
"Radhe Radhe, doston! Kaise ho aap sab? Main ek podcast mein jaane wala tha jo BeerBiceps ka tha, par humne cancel kar diya. Kyun? Kyunki waha kaisi pathetic thinking hai aur kaise shabd use kiye ja rahe hain. Yeh hamara Indian culture nahi hai," B Praak said.
Criticizing the nature of the discussions on the show, he questioned how such content could be considered comedy.
"Aap apne parents ki kaunsi stories bata rahe ho? Yeh comedy hai? Yeh stand-up comedy toh bilkul bhi nahi hai. Logon ko gaaliyan dena, yeh kaunsi generation hai?" he added.
He also took direct aim at Ranveer Allahbadia, accusing him of contradicting the Sanatan Dharma and spirituality he often promotes.
"Ranveer Allahbadia, aap Sanatan Dharma ko promote karte ho, spirituality ki baat karte ho. Aapke podcast pe itne bade-bade log aate hain, itne bade sant aate hain, aur fir bhi aapki soch itni ghatiya hai?"
The backlash erupted after a viral clip from India’s Got Latent featuring Ranveer Allahbadia contained an indecent and offensive remark:
"Would you rather watch your parents… or join in once and stop it forever?"
The comment sparked widespread criticism for being distasteful and inappropriate, prompting an online storm against the content creator.
Following the controversy, Allahbadia issued a public apology, admitting that his remarks were in poor taste.
"My comment wasn't just inappropriate, it wasn't even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry," he said in a video posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
Acknowledging his influence over young audiences, he stated:
"The podcast is watched by people of all ages. I don’t take that responsibility lightly. Family is the last thing I would ever disrespect. I need to use this platform better."
Allahbadia also confirmed that he had requested the show's creators to remove the offensive segment from the episode.
Meanwhile, a complaint has been filed with the Mumbai Commissioner and the Maharashtra Women’s Commission against the podcast, alleging that it contained obscene remarks about women and used abusive language for financial gain through online broadcasts.
With the controversy showing no signs of slowing down, B Praak's withdrawal from BeerBiceps' podcast adds another layer of public rejection to Allahbadia’s growing troubles.
