Baaghi 4 Box Office Day 1: Tiger Shroff's Action Film Crosses ₹10 Crore Mark Despite Negative Reviews
Tiger Shroff’s latest action film, Baaghi 4, has opened to a modest ₹12 crore on its first day, marking a franchise low. The opening comes amidst a wave of negative reviews, as the film faces stiff competition at the box office.
September 6, 2025: Baaghi 4, Tiger Shroff’s long-awaited flick, hit theaters on Friday, September 5. But it hasn’t done particularly well at the box office because there are a lot of other movies out right now. The movie grossed ₹12 crore on its first day, which was a solid start, but it had the lowest first-day collections in the franchise, just exceeding the first Baaghi film’s debut of ₹11.85 crore.
Most critics didn’t like the movie, and it was overshadowed by the Hollywood horror thriller The Conjuring: Last Rites. The last movie in the supernatural horror series had the highest opening in India for a Hollywood horror movie, bringing in ₹18 crore.
Bad ratings and tough competition
There are a lot of other movies that Baaghi 4 has to compete with. It had to compete with Indian movies like The Bengal Files and Lokah Chapter One: Chandra, not simply The Conjuring. Some people only gave the movie two stars, which showed how much it depended on “over-the-top” violence and a “barely there” plot.
On its opening day, the movie had a solid overall occupancy of 28.32%, but the real test will be how well it does throughout the weekend. Even though critics didn’t enjoy the movie and its Hollywood rival fared incredibly well, a lot of analysts think that the movie’s success will depend on whether or not a lot of people appreciate its action scenes.
