‘Baahubali: The Epic’ combines both cinematic parts into one grand, U/A-certified experience with a 3-hour 44-minute runtime, hitting screens worldwide on October 31st.

October 17, 2025: The saga that redefined Indian cinema—S. S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali franchise—is set to return to the big screen in a spectacular, new form. Titled ‘Baahubali: The Epic,’ this re-edited and remastered presentation fuses the two landmark films, Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), into a single, cohesive narrative.

The visionary filmmaker’s monumental work, which pioneered the ‘Pan-India’ film phenomenon and set unparalleled box-office records (with Baahubali 2 being the first Indian film to cross the ₹1,000 crore mark globally), has officially cleared censorship.

Censor Clearance Confirmed

The makers of the film took to social media to share the exciting update, confirming that the new version has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

This nearly four-hour cinematic experience promises to be a treat for both new viewers and long-time fans who wish to relive the magic of Mahishmati in technically enhanced and re-edited form. The combined version, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah, aims to offer a seamless, grand viewing experience to a new generation who may have only seen the film on small screens.

Baahubali: The Beginning, which released in 2015, became a massive blockbuster, followed by its sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion in 2017, which shattered records globally with its unprecedented success.

Rajamouli’s Next: SSMB29

Following the global acclaim of his subsequent film, RRR, which won an Oscar for its music, S. S. Rajamouli is already immersed in his next ambitious project, tentatively titled SSMB29, an action-adventure film starring superstar Mahesh Babu.

The film, which is being made on a lavish budget, is rumored to feature a stellar cast that includes Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran in key roles. A considerable portion of the film, which is said to be an adventure blending history and mythology, has been shot in Odisha. Tentatively scheduled for a 2027 release, the film is generating massive buzz as Rajamouli aims to push the boundaries of Indian cinema once again.
