Baahubali The Epic: Prabhas Fans Go Wild, Whistles, Cheers As Film Hit Theatres

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus re-released as a combined, 10th-anniversary spectacle, sparking massive fan celebrations and cheers across the country.

October 31, 2025: The magic of Mahishmati has returned to the silver screen. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the franchise’s inception, filmmaker SS Rajamouli re-released his cinematic blockbusters, Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), as a single combined film titled ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ this Friday.

The re-release, featuring the original star-studded cast including Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty, and Ramya Krishnan, was met with frenzied enthusiasm from fans, particularly those of lead star Prabhas.

Fans Turn Screening Into a Festival

Early morning shows of Baahubali: The Epic saw massive crowds gathering at theatres, with the audience transforming the viewing experience into a grand festival. Several videos circulating widely on social media show the extent of the fan frenzy.

In the clips, audiences are seen erupting in thunderous cheers, whistles, and applause during the iconic on-screen entry of their idol, Prabhas. Fans even showered the inside of the theatres with confetti, ensuring the celebratory atmosphere matched the film’s epic scale.

SS Rajamouli Expresses Gratitude

At the film’s special premiere event at Prasad Cinemas in Hyderabad, director SS Rajamouli, the architect of the monumental franchise, expressed his deep gratitude to the fanbase.

Addressing the audience, Rajamouli said: “May the people of Mahishmati be blessed with good health! How are the kingdom’s crops growing? Are our businesses flourishing? Under Rajmata Devasena’s guidance, how is King Mahendra Baahubali’s rule progressing? That old man who wept like a child between life and death — is he at peace now?”

He emotionally concluded, “Even after 10 years, the love and affection you’ve showered upon us haven’t faded. I don’t think words can ever express my gratitude for that. So, why bring Baahubali back after all these years? It’s because of your love. You never stopped asking— ‘What’s happening with Baahubali? What’s happening in Mahishmati?'”

Review: A Fantastic Cinematic Experience

A review published on “Baahubali The Epic Review: A Reminder That SS Rajamouli Changed The Face Of Indian Cinema A Decade…” reinforced the value of the re-release.

The review noted that Baahubali: The Epic is a fantastic cinematic experience, reminding viewers that re-watching the Rajamouli directorial on the big screen remains a must-see event. It recommended the film not only to existing franchise lovers but also as a definitive must-watch for anyone who missed the original parts 1 and 2—provided they are prepared for the considerable runtime.
