Rapper Badshah has officially announced a revamped version of his controversial Haryanvi track, now titled “Tateeree Phir Se,” following intense criticism over its original content.

The singer took to Instagram on Friday, April 10, to reveal that the updated song will be released on April 14, after several “offensive” portions were removed in response to feedback from fans and government authorities.

The original “Tateeree” music video sparked a firestorm of controversy due to allegedly vulgar lyrics, suggestive gestures, and visuals of girls in school uniforms. The backlash led to the video being scrubbed from digital platforms and a formal intervention by the National Commission for Women (NCW).

Reflecting on the incident, Badshah stated, “In the past few weeks, we have made necessary changes and removed any part that was found to be insulting. As an artist, responsibility towards our society and culture is just as important as creativity.”

In a significant move toward restitution, Badshah recently met with the NCW and issued a formal apology. As part of his commitment to social responsibility, the rapper has pledged to sponsor the education of 50 girls from economically weaker backgrounds.

Additionally, he has promised to release a dedicated women’s empowerment anthem within the next four months to further demonstrate his commitment to positive social messaging.

“Tateeree Phir Se” is being framed by the artist as a step forward that honors Haryanvi roots while respecting cultural sensibilities. Along with the announcement, Badshah shared a sneak peek of the new music video, which notably omits the controversial imagery of the original. He expressed hope that fans would embrace this new version with the same energy, while maintaining the “respect and dignity” the audience expects from his work.
