The show, which follows the journey of Bella Chowdhary (a.k.a. Bae), an heiress turned hustler, has become a massive success, topping Prime Video India’s rankings and trending in over 50 countries, including the US, UK, and Australia.
Nikhil Madhok, head of originals at Prime Video India, expressed excitement over the show’s positive reception, noting that the overwhelming love for the first season has inspired them to continue with a second chapter of Bae’s story. Its vibrant soundtrack, with tracks like “Vekh Sohneeya” and “Churaaiyaan,” has also gained popularity across social media.
Written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair, and directed by Collin D’Cunha, Call Me Bae is produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra serving as executive producers.
