Beyoncé And Jay-Z Officially Removed From Sean Diddy Sexual Assault Lawsuit
April 13,2025: Two major celebrity names — Beyoncé and Jay-Z — have been officially removed from a $exual assault lawsuit involving music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Joseph Manzaro, the plaintiff, filed an amended complaint on April 11 in Florida, withdrawing the superstar couple from the list of individuals allegedly present during a disturbing incident that took place in 2015.
According to People magazine, the change was made after attorneys for Beyoncé and Jay-Z submitted compelling evidence that they were not at the Miami party where the alleged events occurred. The documentation showed that Jay-Z was participating in a public event at New York University during the time in question and later vacationing in Hawaii with Beyoncé — both confirmed by media coverage from that period.
The original complaint accused Manzaro of being drugged, publicly humiliated, and subjected to non-consensual and degrading acts at a party hosted on Star Island at a residence owned by Gloria and Emilio Estefan. The plaintiff alleged that prominent figures — including Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Gloria Estefan, and LeBron James — had been present and witnessed aspects of the incident. However, none of them were listed as defendants.
After reviewing the timeline, Jay-Z’s attorney, Alex Spiro, released a statement strongly criticizing the initial claims:
“Jay-Z wasn’t in Florida at that time to witness this incident — he was engaged in easily findable public activities that prove he was not at this event. This is more nonsense that erodes the trust in our ‘justice’ system.”
The updated filing no longer references Beyoncé or Jay-Z as witnesses or bystanders.
Only Emilio Estefan remains named as a defendant in the lawsuit. The complaint includes graphic allegations that Sean Combs allegedly orchestrated the abuse and degradation of Manzaro at multiple locations, including dressing the plaintiff in a thong and sex toy mask in front of guests. The filing also claims Gloria Estefan twice attempted to get medical help for the plaintiff but was allegedly stopped by her husband.
A spokesperson for Combs dismissed the complaint as fabricated and “sensationalized,” stating:
“No sane person reading this complaint could credit this story. Mr. Combs looks forward to having his day in court, where these lies, and the perverse motives of those who told them — will be revealed.”
Sean Combs has faced multiple allegations of misconduct in recent months and maintains his innocence. He has entered a not-guilty plea in a separate federal case and is expected to appear in court again in May 2025.
As of now, representatives for Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Joseph Manzaro have not issued any further public comments.
