A technical mishap brought Beyoncé’s high-flying moment to a halt — but Queen Bey finished the song with trademark grace and power.
Houston | June 29, 2025 — Beyoncé’s much-anticipated “Cowboy Carter” tour stop in Houston took an unexpected turn Saturday night when the superstar got stuck midair in a red flying car — a dramatic moment that quickly went viral.

As the Grammy-winning artist soared above the crowd at NRG Stadium during her country ballad “16 Carriages,” the stage prop suddenly leaned to one side and stalled. Fans below watched in awe and concern as Beyoncé, seated in the airborne car, shouted, “Stop, stop, stop, stop!”
Stage crew rushed in, and the suspended vehicle was safely lowered. Beyoncé, ever the professional, stepped out calmly and returned to the stage — finishing the performance to thunderous applause.
“Tonight in Houston… a technical mishap caused the flying car… to tilt,” Beyoncé’s entertainment company, Parkwood, later explained in a statement on Instagram. “She was quickly lowered and no one was injured. The show continued without incident.”
Queen Bey Keeps Her Cool — Again
This isn’t the first time Beyoncé has brushed off a live-show glitch. Earlier this month in London, a wardrobe malfunction with her metallic fringed chaps occurred mid-performance. She handled it seamlessly, even picking up the fallen piece herself before a backup dancer assisted her — never missing a beat.
