Directed once again by Priyadarshan, the sequel will bring back the iconic trio of Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal, who were at the center of the original film’s success. The rights for the sequel were recently acquired by Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions from Shemaroo Entertainment. Varde, who has been working on the film’s script, will also produce the sequel alongside Shemaroo. In a press release, Sarita shared the reason behind the 18-year wait, saying, “Because a special film like Bhagam Bhag deserves a sequel that’s just as much special; when the time was right, we decided to take the plunge.”

Hiren Gada, CEO of Shemaroo Entertainment, also expressed his excitement, adding, “We are excited to partner with an incredible team to create a film that will continue the legacy of its predecessor by bringing more laughter, fun, and entertainment.”

While the full plot details are still under wraps, the makers have promised that Bhagam Bhag 2 will be “madder, crazier, and funnier” than the original. The film is set to go on floors in mid-2025, and fans can expect more chaos, hilarious situations, and unforgettable characters that made the first film so iconic.

With the film’s star-studded cast and the promise of even more laughs and antics, Bhagam Bhag 2 is already shaping up to be one of the most highly anticipated comedy releases in recent years. The original Bhagam Bhag remains a favorite in the comedy genre, and fans are eagerly waiting to see how the sequel will build on that legacy.
