Bhagyashree Celebrates Karva Chauth with Energetic Dance to 'Bijuria' Remix
‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ Actor Bhagyashree Grooves to ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ Track ‘Bijuria’ with Friends, Showcasing Vibrant Ethnic Fashion.
Actor Bhagyashree joyfully embraced the festive spirit of Karva Chauth by performing a lively dance to the popular track ‘Bijuria’. A video circulating on social media shows the Maine Pyar Kiya star celebrating the occasion with friends, showcasing vibrant ethnic wear and coordinated moves. Karva Chauth is being observed this year on October 10.
Bhagyashree, along with fellow actor Sheeba and seven other close friends, was seen grooving to the peppy remix version of the song ‘Bijuria’. The track is the latest hit from the upcoming film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, which reimagines Sonu Nigam’s popular 1999 song from his album Mausam.
The group was dressed in colorful, festive ethnic attire. Bhagyashree looked radiant in a striking yellow-orange saree, while Sheeba chose a mustard suit. Their synchronized dance steps and cheerful energy captured the celebratory mood perfectly. The moment was made even more charming by the surprise cameo of a sweet dog.
Bhagyashree became a household name following her successful debut in the 1989 blockbuster Maine Pyar Kiya, where she starred opposite Salman Khan. She married Himalaya Dassani in 1990.
The couple’s children have since followed them into the entertainment industry. Their son, Abhimanyu Dassani, made his acting debut in the 2019 action-comedy Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, directed by Vasan Bala, and has since appeared in films like Nikamma and Meenakshi Sundareshwar. Their daughter, Avantika Dassani, began her acting career in 2022 with the psychological thriller web series Mithya, co-starring Huma Qureshi. Bhagyashree herself has made a comeback to acting with recent projects like Thalaivii and Radhe Shyam.
The film providing the popular celebratory soundtrack, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, is a romantic comedy directed by Shashank Khaitan and stars Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles. Released theatrically on October 2, coinciding with the Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti holidays, the film has faced stiff competition from Kantara: Chapter 1. So far, the movie has reportedly earned about ₹38.58 crore at the box office.
