Bhool Chuk Maaf’ Box Office Day 2: Rajkummar Rao’s Family Drama Grows, Earns ₹9 Crore
May 25, 2025: Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s family entertainer Bhool Chuk Maaf saw a healthy rise in its box office earnings on day two. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film collected ₹9 crore on Saturday, taking its total India net collection to ₹16 crore.

Bhool Chuk Maaf, which opened to ₹7.2 crore on Friday, recorded a 25.18% occupancy across Hindi shows on Saturday. The occupancy rose steadily through the day — morning shows at 10.46%, afternoon at 27.27%, evening at 29.11%, and night shows peaking at 33.87%. Interestingly, Chennai registered the highest occupancy at 85%.

The film faced stiff competition from Suniel Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi’s Kesari Veer, which has struggled to make an impact with ₹25 lakh on day one and ₹26 lakh on day two. Additionally, major Hollywood releases Final Destination Bloodlines and Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning have been drawing bigger crowds compared to many Bollywood films this year.
Despite the challenges, Bhool Chuk Maaf has outperformed Rajkummar Rao’s recent films, including Srikanth, Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, and Mr. & Mrs. Mahi. However, it still lags behind blockbusters like Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh and Sunny Deol’s Jaat.
Directed by Karan Sharma, Bhool Chuk Maaf also stars Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Anubha Fatehpuria, Raghubir Yadav, and Seema Pahwa. After its two-week theatrical run, the film will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
A review excerpt from SCREEN noted, “For a long time, Bhool Chuk Maaf looks and feels like the poor man’s Brahmastra. Ultimately, it may be remembered more for its quick OTT release and the confusion it stirred within the industry.”
