Bhool Chuk Maaf witnessed an overall 30.01% occupancy in Hindi on Sunday, indicating strong audience interest despite opening to modest numbers on Friday. The film has already surpassed the lifetime earnings of Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency, which capped at ₹19 crore earlier this year.
In comparison, Rajkummar Rao’s previous release Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video had earned ₹6.4 crore on its third day, while his blockbuster Stree 2 minted ₹43.85 crore on day three last year.
The film follows the story of a man caught in a time loop on the day before his wedding, featuring a talented ensemble cast including Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, and Ishtiyak Khan. Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, Bhool Chuk Maaf has resonated with audiences seeking fresh comedy with a social edge.

HT Review Excerpt:
“Bhool Chuk Maaf ends up stuck in a loop of its own clichés, but benefits from Wamiqa Gabbi’s charm and solid performances by the supporting cast. Rajkummar Rao’s small-town trope is wearing thin, but the film still manages to deliver a few laughs,” noted Hindustan Times.
