Bhool Chuk Maaf Box Office Day 6: Rajkummar Rao-Wamiqa Gabbi’s Film Heads Toward ₹50 Cr Mark

The romantic comedy surpasses Deva and Game Changer, with a week left before new releases hit cinemas

May 29, 2025: Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s romantic comedy Bhool Chuk Maaf is maintaining its momentum at the domestic box office, inching closer to the ₹50 crore mark within its limited two-week theatrical run.

On Wednesday, the film collected ₹3.25 crore, showing a slight decline from earlier days. Its highest single-day collection came on Sunday at ₹11.5 crore, followed by ₹9.5 crore on Saturday and ₹7 crore on Friday.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Bhool Chuk Maaf has amassed a total domestic box office collection of ₹40.5 crore so far. This milestone puts it ahead of the lifetime earnings of Deva (₹33.97 crore) and the Hindi-dubbed version of Game Changer (₹37.47 crore). Next in line for Bhool Chuk Maaf to surpass is John Abraham’s The Diplomat, which earned ₹40.75 crore.

The film also surpassed the re-release earnings of Sanam Teri Kasam (₹35.55 crore).

Competing with Upcoming Releases

Bhool Chuk Maaf has about a week left to maximize its earnings before two major releases arrive in cinemas: the Hindi dubbed version of Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life starring Kamal Haasan on June 5, followed by Housefull 5 featuring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, and Jackie Shroff on June 6.

Directed by Karan Sharma, the film is the first on-screen collaboration between Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi. It also stars Seema Pahwa, Raghubir Yadav, Zakir Hussain, and Sanjay Mishra. Bhool Chuk Maaf is presented by Maddock Films in association with Amazon MGM Studios.

The Release Journey

The film, initially slated for a May 9 release, faced delays due to security measures following Operation Sindoor. It was subsequently released in theatres on May 23 after legal disputes with PVR INOX were resolved. The digital release on Prime Video India is set for June 6.
