Akshay Kumar, Ektaa Kapoor tease Priyadarshan reunion film

February 25, 2026: Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and producer Ektaa Kapoor sparked excitement online by dropping cryptic hints about their upcoming film Bhooth Bangla. Akshay shared three zombie emojis on X, prompting speculation before Balaji Motion Pictures playfully responded, asking if it was a hint. The horror-comedy, directed by Priyadarshan, marks Akshay’s first collaboration with the filmmaker in 14 years.

Earlier this month, Akshay unveiled a quirky teaser announcing the film’s April 10, 2026 release date. The clip featured a cat scratching off a previous date on a calendar before revealing the new one, ending with the tagline “expect the unexpected.” The actor also introduced Mithila Palkar as a fresh addition to the cast, revealing that she will play his sister in the film.

Backed by Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films, the film promises comedy, chaos and emotional moments. It also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav in key roles. With Priyadarshan’s trademark humour and Akshay’s comic timing, expectations are high as the film gears up for its theatrical release.
