Actor Bhumi Pednekar got emotional on her birthday when she received a sweet surprise at home. Bhumi, currently busy shooting for the series ‘Daldal’, celebrated her special day on set with the team before coming home to a heartwarming surprise.

Sharing her joy on Instagram, Bhumi posted a video from the ‘Daldal’ set, captioned, “Starting my birthday on set doing what I love the most. #Blessed #Daldal.” In a subsequent post, Bhumi is seen in happy tears as she discovers a wall showcasing her film journey. Bhumi’s Bollywood journey has been phenomenal, transitioning from a casting director to a Hindi film star over the past nine years. She made her debut with ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ and has since showcased her talent and versatility in numerous roles.

In the series ‘Daldal’, Bhumi will portray a cop named Rita, a character she describes as a “super achiever, a glass-ceiling breaker, a rewriter of rules in a man’s world.” Bhumi expressed her excitement about the project, saying, “Daldal is one of my most special projects for many, many reasons. I have started shooting for the project and I can already tell you that it will be one of my most challenging roles ever.”

Directed by Amrit Raj Gupta, ‘Daldal’ promises to be a showcase of Bhumi’s strength and resilience as an actor, reflecting the qualities she admires in women
