Bigg Boss 18: Hina Khan Makes an Emotional Comeback on Weekend Ka Vaar Amid Cancer Battle
November 24, 2024: Hina Khan, a beloved former contestant of Bigg Boss 11, made a heartfelt appearance on the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 18. The actress, who is currently battling stage three breast cancer, shared the stage with host Salman Khan and reflected on her journey, both on the reality show and in life.
In the episode promo shared by the makers, Hina was seen entering the stage in a stunning silver sequined suit. She greeted Salman Khan with a warm hug and expressed how her time in the Bigg Boss house shaped her resilience. Speaking about her experience, Hina shared, “This beautiful journey in Bigg Boss has given me strength. The show gave me a beautiful label, and now the entire world knows me as ‘Sher Khan.’”
Moved by her words, Salman Khan addressed her ongoing battle with cancer, praising her strength and determination. He assured her, “You are fighting every challenge. You will be okay, 1,000 percent.” Salman’s heartfelt message left Hina visibly emotional, and she broke down in tears on stage.
In June, Hina revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. Sharing her story on Instagram, the actress posted an emotional note to her fans and followers, expressing her determination to overcome the disease.
An excerpt from her note read:
“I want to share some important news with all the Hinaholics and everyone who loves and cares for me. I have been diagnosed with Stage Three breast cancer. Despite this challenging diagnosis, I want to reassure everyone that I am doing well. I am strong, determined, and truly committed to overcoming this disease. My treatment has already begun, and I am ready to do everything necessary to emerge from this even stronger.”
Hina Khan is a household name in Indian television. She first rose to prominence with her portrayal of Akshara in the long-running TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She later reinvented herself as the stylish and cunning antagonist Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2.
Her versatility extends beyond daily soaps; Hina has participated in popular reality shows like Bigg Boss 11—where she was the first runner-up—and Khatron Ke Khiladi 8. She has also made her mark in films, with credits in projects like Hacked, Smartphone, Lines, Wishlist, and Unlock.
