Bizzare! Simon Cowell Reveals He Was Offered $150K to Judge Couple Having Sex

The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge shared a jaw-dropping story on a podcast, recalling how a couple once propositioned him to critique their bedroom performance — for a hefty sum.

May 9, 2025: Simon Cowell is no stranger to strange requests — but even he wasn’t prepared for this one.

Appearing on the How to Fail podcast this week, the famously blunt reality TV judge recounted an encounter that left him stunned: a couple once offered him $150,000 to watch and judge them having sex.

“They used to ask me to be rude to them,” Cowell said, reflecting on his reputation for harsh critiques during his days on American Idol and America’s Got Talent. But this request took things to a whole new level.

As Cowell explained, he was dining at a restaurant when a fan approached for a photo. What happened next was entirely unexpected. “This guy comes up to me and says, ‘I love your show. Would you take a picture?’ I said, ‘Sure.’ Then he introduced me to his wife and asked if I would judge them having sex,” Cowell revealed.

At first, the TV mogul thought the man was joking — until money entered the conversation.

“They actually offered me a lot of money. I thought, ‘Do I? No, I just can’t do it,’” Cowell admitted. He ultimately declined, calling the offer “so bizarre.”

Cowell, known for his brutally honest feedback, has seen some of the weirdest acts in the world of reality television, but this proposal clearly left a lasting impression.

On a more somber note, Cowell made headlines earlier this year when he issued a heartfelt tribute following the tragic death of Liam Payne, former One Direction member, who died in a fall from a hotel balcony in October 2024.

“You never really know how you feel about someone until a moment like this happens,” Cowell wrote. “Liam, I am devastated. Heartbroken. And I feel empty. Every tear I have shed is a memory of you.”

Cowell helped form One Direction on The X Factor UK in 2010, launching the group’s meteoric rise to global stardom.
