May 9, 2025: After the success of her solo hit “APT” with Bruno Mars, BLACKPINK’s Rosé is back with a new track, “Messy,” which is part of the highly anticipated soundtrack for the upcoming racing drama F1. The film, starring Brad Pitt, is set to release on June 27 and will feature several exciting songs from renowned artists, including Ed Sheeran, Tate McRae, RAYE, Burna Boy, Tiësto, and more.

In the stylish music video for “Messy,” Rosé is seen strolling through the vibrant streets of Las Vegas, enjoying scenic views from a high-rise, while romantic scenes between Brad Pitt and Kerry Condon’s characters play in the background. The video perfectly complements the song’s theme and gives a sneak peek into the high-energy film.

Rosé took to Instagram to announce the release of her song, expressing her excitement about being a part of the F1 soundtrack: “MESSY is out now. So this is my first time working on a movie soundtrack, and I am so extremely honoured and excited beyond imagination to be a part of this incredible movie. I hope you all love it, live it, dream it until F1 comes out on June 27—and just one thing, don’t get too Messy out there, folks.”

“Messy” is just one of the many incredible songs featured on the F1 album, with contributions from artists like Don Toliver (featuring Doja Cat on “Lose My Mind”), Ed Sheeran (“Drive”), Tate McRae (“Just Keep Watching”), Burna Boy (“Don’t Let Me Drown”), and many more.

This new release also marks Rosé’s first project since her solo debut album, ROSIE, which was released in December. Fans are eagerly awaiting her return to BLACKPINK, as she gears up for the group’s reunion after the success of their Born Pink tour in 2023. Recently, Rosé made waves at the 2025 Met Gala, where she joined fellow BLACKPINK members Lisa and Jennie on the red carpet.

F1 is directed by Joseph Kosinski and stars Brad Pitt, Kerry Condon, Damson Idris, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem. The film, which revolves around the high-stakes world of Formula 1 racing, is set to release in theaters on June 27.
