Blake Lively and Taylor Swift Reconcile After Rift Over Legal Drama Involving Justin Baldoni

The Hollywood power duo, known for their close friendship, reportedly went through a tense fallout earlier this year after Taylor was unexpectedly caught in the middle of Blake’s legal drama with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni.

According to NewsNation, Blake recently reached out and apologized to Taylor, leading to a reconciliation. A source confirmed, “They have worked everything out. Blake apologized and they are talking again.”
The tension began when Baldoni accused Blake of using her friendships with Taylor Swift and Ryan Reynolds to pressure him during a creative dispute. Court documents alleged that Swift showed up at a rooftop meeting between Baldoni and Reynolds—arranged by Blake—which made Baldoni feel “intimidated.” Blake had allegedly referred to Swift and Reynolds as her “dragons,” in reference to the Game of Thrones character Khaleesi.
Sources close to Swift say she had no idea she’d be drawn into the legal fray and was “shocked” to be mentioned in the filings. “She never intended to be involved,” one insider said. “She walked into the meeting unaware and was blindsided when her name appeared in court documents.”
Swift, who is working on her next album, reportedly chose to quietly distance herself amid the controversy to avoid additional drama. “She wasn’t angry—just disappointed and focused on protecting her career,” a source told DailyMail.com.
Eagle-eyed fans had already begun speculating something was off when Blake skipped the Super Bowl, where she was expected to be part of Taylor’s now-iconic luxury suite entourage. Instead, Swift was seen with Ice Spice and the Haim sisters.
Neither party addressed the rumors at the time, and the silence only fueled online theories.
Taylor and Blake have been friends for nearly a decade, with Swift even referencing Blake and Ryan Reynolds’ children in her lyrics. The pair were last seen publicly in October 2024 on a double date in New York City with Reynolds and Travis Kelce.
With the apology made and the air cleared, sources say things are back to normal. “They’ve worked everything out,” the source added. “The friendship is strong again.”
