Blake Lively recently made headlines, not just for her ongoing legal dispute, but for a sweet and unexpected reason. The Gossip Girl star was spotted working behind the counter at Rise Doughnuts in Wilton, Connecticut, leaving fans stunned and delighted.
Taking to Instagram, Lively shared snippets of her time at the bakery, writing, “Baking with genius food friends and their kitchen mixer the size of a car… This is what my happy place looks like.”
Known for her warmth and approachability, the 37-year-old actress posed for photos with fans and interacted joyfully with visitors. A fan who encountered her at the shop posted on Instagram, calling her “sweet and lovely” and praised how she was “patient to chat and willing to take photos with everyone.”
Sources revealed to People that Blake is close friends with the shop’s owner, and was simply enjoying some downtime amid the ongoing controversy surrounding her feud with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni.
The Hollywood drama began last December when Lively filed a sexual harassment suit against Baldoni. The actor-director then countersued her and husband Ryan Reynolds for $400 million in a defamation case, also naming their PR team.
Despite the legal storm, Blake’s doughnut detour reminded fans of her down-to-earth charm — a slice of joy amidst the chaos.
