Blake Lively vs. Justin Baldoni Feud Fuels New Discovery+ Docuseries

Warner Bros. Discovery announces Baldoni vs. Lively: A Hollywood Feud, the latest entry in its hit “vs” true crime docuseries lineup

London, March 31: The high-profile legal standoff between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is now heading to the small screen — not once, but twice. Just weeks after ITN Productions launched He Said, She Said: Blake Lively vs. Justin Baldoni, Warner Bros. Discovery U.K. & Ireland has greenlit a new docuseries titled Baldoni vs. Lively: A Hollywood Feud.

Produced by Optomen, the new series is set to stream on Discovery+ in June and promises a detailed, “forensic” exploration of the feud that has captured Hollywood’s attention. The series will dive into the events leading up to the highly anticipated court battle between Lively and Baldoni — the latter also being the director of the upcoming film adaptation of It Ends With Us, in which Lively stars.

This is the latest installment in Warner Bros. Discovery’s growing “vs” docuseries universe, which includes past hits like Johnny vs. Amber: The U.S. Trial, Vardy vs. Rooney: The Wagatha Trial, and Kim vs. Kanye: The Divorce.

More True Crime Drama Coming in July

In addition to A Hollywood Feud, another major docuseries is set to launch in July on Discovery+. Titled Rubiales vs. Hermoso: The World Cup Kiss, the two-part series will explore the fallout from the now-infamous kiss that marred Spain’s victory at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The series will feature exclusive interviews from Luis Rubiales, the former Spanish football federation president who was found guilty of sexual assault after kissing Spanish forward Jenni Hermoso during the post-match celebration. It marks the first time Rubiales is speaking publicly since resigning in the wake of global backlash.

The second episode will spotlight Hermoso’s side, including emotional commentary from her teammates, such as Laia Codina, as they address the broader cultural conversation surrounding consent in sports and the media storm that followed.

These releases underscore Warner Bros. Discovery’s growing interest in real-life celebrity conflicts, especially those that spark legal, cultural, and ethical debates — and promise viewers an insider’s look at the controversies dominating headlines.
