Bollywood Mourns: Celebrities Pay Last Respects to Ritesh Sidhwani’s Mother

The Bollywood fraternity came together to offer condolences to producer Ritesh Sidhwani, who co-founded Excel Entertainment with Farhan Akhtar, following the passing of his mother, Leelu Sidhwani. She passed away at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai, leaving many in the industry saddened by the loss.

Prominent figures such as Kareena Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ali Fazal, Kritika Kamra, Pulkit Samrat, Zoya Akhtar, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Soha Ali Khan, and Kunal Kemmu visited Sidhwani’s residence to express their sympathy.

Actor Vijay Varma and Abhishek Bachchan attended the funeral at the cremation ground. Others who paid their respects included Saif Ali Khan, Shankar Mahadevan, Kriti Kharbanda, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Apoorva Mehta.


Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar, filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, and actors Chunky Panday, Malaika Arora, and Amrita Arora were also seen arriving to honor the memory of Leelu Sidhwani.

Ritesh Sidhwani, renowned for producing hits like ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ which won a National Award in 2001, has made a significant impact in the industry. Excel Entertainment, under his leadership, produced acclaimed shows such as ‘Inside Edge’, ‘Mirzapur’, and ‘Made in Heaven’, earning international recognition and solidifying its reputation as a major production company.
