Bollywood Power Trio: Ranveer Singh, Bobby Deol, and Sreeleela Star in Massive ₹150 Crore Ad Directed by Atlee

The high-budget commercial for Ching’s Desi Chinese, helmed by Jawan director Atlee, is set to be one of the most expensive ad campaigns ever produced in India, costing more than several recent feature films.

In a colossal collaboration, Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, popular actor Bobby Deol, and Telugu sensation Sreeleela are all set to star together in what is touted to be one of the most expensive ad campaigns ever mounted in India.

The trio will feature in a commercial for Ching’s Desi Chinese, a brand Ranveer Singh has long been associated with as his popular character, ‘Captain Ching’. Adding significant star power behind the camera, the advertisement is being directed by filmmaker Atlee, renowned for blockbuster hits like the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan.

Ad Budget Dwarfs Feature Film Costs

According to independent industry sources, the ad campaign is being produced on a colossal budget of around ₹150 crore. This massive expenditure single-handedly establishes it as one of the biggest and most extravagant ad campaigns ever executed in the country, featuring a celebrated ensemble cast and a cinematic scale.

The campaign’s budget of ₹150 crore is reported to be higher than the production cost of several recent full-length Bollywood feature films. For comparison, the ad budget surpasses that of Vicky Kaushal’s recent blockbuster Chhaava (budgeted at ₹130 crore), Raid 2 (₹120 crore), Stree 2 (₹60 crore), and Saiyaara (₹45 crore). The ad is yet to be officially released, but the buzz around its scale is already monumental.

Ranveer Singh is a veteran face for the brand, having previously starred in several Ching’s Desi Chinese advertisements, including a five-minute short film directed by Rohit Shetty and another instant noodles ad featuring Tamannaah Bhatia. Reports suggest the new ad, which also features Rajpal Yadav, will be an action-comedy extravaganza with Atlee’s signature stylized action and will feature Ranveer returning in a fresh, over-the-top avatar as Captain Ching.

Ranveer Singh’s Upcoming Projects

On the film front, Ranveer Singh is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar. The film boasts an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. The lyrical video of the title track was recently released on October 16, receiving positive reactions from fans. Dhurandhar is scheduled to hit theatres on December 5.

Ranveer was last seen on the big screen in Rohit Shetty’s multi-starrer cop drama, Singham Again, which featured an impressive cast including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff, among others.
