Bollywood Stars Mourn the Loss of Menaka Irani, Mother of Farah and Sajid Khan

The Bollywood community gathered to pay their final respects to Menaka Irani, the mother of renowned filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan and director Sajid Khan, who passed away in Mumbai. The outpouring of support from the film fraternity highlighted the deep respect and affection many had for Menaka Irani.

Among the first to arrive was actress Rani Mukerji, who was seen at Farah Khan’s residence to offer her condolences.

Following her, actress Shilpa Shetty and actor Sanjay Kapoor also made their way to the house to express their sorrow and support for the grieving family.

Television personality Shiv Thakare joined the mourners shortly after.

The list of celebrities who visited to pay their respects was extensive. Actors Shoaib Ibrahim, Himesh Reshammiya, Nikhil Dwivedi, Chunky Panday, and esteemed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali were among those who came to offer their condolences. Also present were Shamita Shetty, Shabina Khan, and T-Series head Bhushan Kumar, who all shared their grief with Farah and Sajid.

Bhushan Kumar, who has been a close associate of Farah Khan, was notably affected by the loss. He had recently collaborated with Farah on several projects and had seen Menaka Irani featured on Farah’s YouTube channel.

Just a month prior, Farah Khan had expressed her deep love and admiration for her mother on her birthday. In a heartfelt post on social media, she described her mother as the “strongest, bravest person” she had ever known. Farah’s touching words reflected the profound bond they shared: “We all take our mothers for granted, especially me! This last month has been a revelation on how much I love my mom, Menaka. She has been the strongest, bravest person I’ve ever seen, with her sense of humor intact even after multiple surgeries. Happy birthday, mom! Today’s a good day to come back home. Can’t wait for you to get strong enough to start fighting with me again. I love you.”

Ananya Panday, Farhan Akhtar, Sonu Sood, and Aditi Rao Hydari, extended their birthday wishes to Menaka Irani, showing the widespread affection and respect for her within the industry.

Menaka Irani was not only known as the mother of Farah and Sajid Khan but also as the sister of former actors Honey Irani and Daisy Irani, further cementing her connection to the Bollywood legacy.
