Border 2: Diljit Dosanjh Shares Exclusive BTS from Set, Fans React

July 25, 2025: Diljit Dosanjh, a singer and actor, has joined the ongoing shoot of “Border 2” in Punjab. Recently, he gave fans a look behind the scenes of his trip to the sets.

Dosanjh, who is the newest member of the cast in Punjab, posted a video on Instagram showing his journey from the airport to the film’s site, set to his song “Intense.”

“Border 2,” directed by Anurag Singh, is the eagerly awaited follow-up to the 1997 war hit. Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh are all in the movie.

High-Energy Song Sequence Filmed at the National Defense Academy
A big event happened recently when the cast, which includes Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty, filmed a high-energy song sequence at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune. This is the first time all four main actors have been in a scene together in uniform. Anu Malik wrote the song, while Ganesh Acharya choreographed the dance. It is said that Ahan, Varun, and Diljit play young cadets before they become officers. More than 200 dancers dressed as cadets joined the performers for the shoot. Sunny Deol, who was also in Pune, stuck behind to do his action parts.

Sunny Deol had already posted a group picture with the “Border 2” team on Instagram, which confirmed that the third schedule has started at NDA Pune. The caption said, “Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty join Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan as the battalion starts the third schedule at Pune’s National Defense Academy!” As the movie moves full speed forward, Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta, Anurag Singh, Shiv Chanana, and Binoy Gandhi are all on set.

There was a lot of talk about Diljit Dosanjh’s role in “Border 2” since there was a lot of talk over the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in his recent Punjabi film “Sardaar Ji 3.” The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) was unhappy with Dosanjh’s casting and wrote a letter to the people who made “Border 2,” T-Series and JP Films.

But rumors say that Diljit Dosanjh is still in “Border 2.” The FWICE first wanted to prohibit Dosanjh because of the “Sardaar Ji 3” scandal, but later let him keep working on “Border 2.” They did this, it is said, because the producers asked for it and since a lot of the movie had already been shot and it had a patriotic message. “Sardaar Ji 3” came out in other countries, and the people who made it said that it was filmed before the recent tensions between India and Pakistan and that it wasn’t released in India because of the current mood.

The movie “Border 2” is set to come out in theaters on January 23, 2026.
