Box Office Boost! Kesari Chapter 2 Surges 43% on Sunday, Eyes ₹90 Cr Mark
Kesari Chapter 2, starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday is proving to be a resilient box office performer. Despite stiff competition from Raid 2 starring Ajay Devgn, the historical courtroom drama has shown consistent growth, nearing the ₹90 crore mark at the Indian box office after 24 days in theatres.

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film was released on April 18 and opened to largely positive reviews from both critics and audiences. It collected ₹46.54 crore in its first week, followed by ₹28.81 crore in the second week and ₹9.05 crore in the third. Thanks to favorable word-of-mouth and a limited slate of new Bollywood releases, the film continued drawing crowds into its fourth week.
During the fourth weekend, Kesari Chapter 2 earned ₹3.67 crore—dropping 39.83% from the previous weekend but still managing solid numbers. The day-wise breakdown includes ₹0.75 crore on Friday, ₹1.20 crore on Saturday, and a strong ₹1.72 crore on Sunday, registering a 43.33% jump.
The film’s total Indian net collection now stands at ₹88.07 crore. Given the ongoing positive momentum and little immediate competition, Kesari Chapter 2 is expected to surpass the ₹90 crore mark shortly and continue its steady run.
Produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films, the film also features Regina Cassandra, Simon Paisley Day, Amit Sial, and Alexx O’Nell in key roles.
