Box Office Clash: Sitaare Zameen Par Nears ₹100 Crore in 3 Days, Dhanush’s Kuberaa Sets Career Record
June 23, 2025 | The big box office clash between Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par and Dhanush’s Kuberaa has turned into a celebration for Indian cinema as both films are raking in impressive numbers. Released on June 20, the two high-profile films have struck a chord with audiences across regions.
Directed by RS Prasanna, Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par is being hailed for its emotional core and strong message. The film stars Genelia D’Souza alongside a cast of talented newcomers and has emerged as a major comeback for Aamir after the disappointing run of Laal Singh Chaddha.
According to Pinkvilla, the film has grossed an estimated ₹92–94 crore worldwide in its first three days.
With positive word of mouth and strong audience turnout, the film is expected to cross the ₹100 crore mark on Monday, setting the tone for a strong theatrical run.
Meanwhile, Dhanush’s Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula, has become the actor’s biggest opening weekend grosser. The film is projected to have collected around ₹80 crore globally by the end of Sunday, outperforming his previous hits like Raayan and Captain Miller.
