Box Office: Kuberaa Slows Down On Day 8 – Crosses ₹68.89 Cr Mark Despite Friday Dip
Hyderabad, June 27, 2025 – After a solid run during its opening week, Sekhar Kammula’s mythological-political drama Kuberaa witnessed a major dip on Day 8 (second Friday), collecting an estimated ₹0.05 crore across India for all languages. Despite the decline, the film has managed to surpass the ₹68.89 crore mark in domestic net collections.
The film, featuring an ensemble cast of Dhanush, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil, had a robust start over its first weekend, fueled by fan excitement and strong word-of-mouth in Telugu and Tamil markets.

(Telugu – ₹48.6 Cr, Tamil – ₹18.34 Cr, Hindi – ₹1.72 Cr, Kannada – ₹0.18 Cr)
The Friday slowdown could be attributed to several factors:
However, Kuberaa’s content-driven appeal and strong performances continue to attract niche audiences, especially in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
With the weekend approaching, Kuberaa may stabilize if Saturday and Sunday show improved occupancy. The film still has a chance to breach the ₹100 crore mark globally, depending on second-weekend footfalls and overseas earnings.
Directed by Sekhar Kammula and produced by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas and Amigos Creations, Kuberaa combines mythology, contemporary politics, and emotional drama, offering a layered narrative that has resonated well in select circles.
