October 13, 2024: Alia Bhatt’s action thriller Jigra is showing steady improvement at the Indian box office, witnessing a notable rise in collections on its second day. Released on October 11, 2024, Jigra had a decent start at the ticket counters with an opening day collection above ₹4 crore. Despite competing with Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and Tamil blockbuster Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, Alia’s star power continues to draw crowds.
After earning ₹4.55 crores on Friday, Jigra saw a healthy growth of 38-49% on Saturday, bringing in around ₹6.30-6.80 crores. This increase can be attributed to the Dussehra holiday and strong weekend footfall, resulting in a cumulative box office collection of ₹10.85-11.35 crores by the end of day two.
