The former couple’s bitter fight over their French winery continues, with a 15-day jury trial looming amid NDA accusations and global legal complexities.
June 28, 2025 | The long-running legal feud between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is far from over. Nearly a decade after their highly publicized split, the two Hollywood powerhouses are once again headed to court — this time, for a 15-day jury trial over ownership of the French vineyard Chateau Miraval.

According to court filings dated June 20, both parties anticipate the trial could stretch over several weeks. Though the actual trial date has not yet been confirmed, the scope of the case has been described as “complex,” involving international parties and transactions.

🏰 The Winery at the Center of the Storm
Pitt has accused Jolie of violating a mutual agreement by selling her share of Chateau Miraval — a property they purchased together in 2008 — without his consent. Jolie’s shares, held through her company Nouvel, were sold to the Stoli Group, sparking Pitt’s legal offensive.

Pitt argues that both parties agreed not to sell without mutual approval, a claim Jolie denies. At the core of Pitt’s legal campaign is his goal to become sole owner of the vineyard and wine brand.
📩 The Email and the NDA Controversy
In a key piece of evidence, Pitt’s legal team plans to present an email from Jolie, in which she expresses deep hurt over financial decisions Pitt allegedly made unilaterally.

Jolie wrote that she had been “hurt by decisions that show no interest in sharing the business” and that the company had become unhealthy for their children.
She reportedly rejected a $55.4 million buyout offer from Pitt because it included a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) — allegedly designed to stop her from speaking out about what she described as “years of abuse” during their marriage.
⚖️ No End in Sight
The lawsuit continues to fuel headlines, reflecting the ongoing tension between the former couple. While Jolie has denied any wrongdoing and the existence of a “no-sale” clause, Pitt remains determined to gain control of the estate.
Legal experts suggest that without definitive proof from either side, the matter may come down to persuasion, interpretation, and emotion in the courtroom.
