Brad Pitt ‘Emotionally Affected’ After Divorce, But ‘Won’t Admit It, That Would Please Angelina Jolie’
June 1, 2025: Brad Pitt is reportedly still reeling from the emotional toll of his years-long divorce battle with ex-wife Angelina Jolie. In a recent interview with GQ, the actor admitted that the finalization of their divorce in late 2024 didn’t bring the sense of closure one might expect.

“No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing. Just something coming to fruition. Legally,” Pitt told GQ, hinting at the long-standing media scrutiny he has faced. “It’s been in the news for 30 years, bro. Or some version of my personal life, let’s put it that way.”
Despite his calm public persona, sources close to the actor suggest the ordeal has deeply affected him. A source told Daily Mail, “Brad’s had his fair share of meltdowns over the years as their feuding got more and more intense.” The insider added, “It affected him emotionally on many levels, but admitting that publicly for Angie to hear, he knows would give her great pleasure.”
Brad and Angelina’s relationship began on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2003 and eventually led to marriage and a family of six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox. However, the couple’s 2016 split, triggered by a reported incident on a private jet, marked the start of a bitter legal and custody battle. Jolie accused Pitt of abuse—a charge he denied and was later cleared of by authorities.
The fallout has since extended to Pitt’s relationship with his children. Several of them have distanced themselves publicly and legally. Shiloh recently filed to drop “Pitt” from her surname, while Zahara and Vivienne have also opted not to use the name in public settings. In a leaked private Father’s Day post, Pax reportedly described Pitt as a “world-class ahole”** and “a despicable person.”
“The fact that Angie won them over is still a huge point of contention for Brad,” a source claimed. “But he wants to put on a brave face, like none of it has made a big dent in his life. Nothing could be further from the truth.”
Professionally, Pitt continues to thrive, but sources say the wounds from his personal life run deep. On a more hopeful note, Pitt is said to be in a stable relationship with 32-year-old jewelry executive Ines de Ramon, whom he has been dating since 2022. However, insiders confirm that he has “no plans to remarry.”
While the legal battles may have ended, the emotional consequences for one of Hollywood’s most high-profile breakups seem far from over.
