The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to the break-in at North Edgemont Street in the upscale Los Feliz neighborhood. Officer Drake Madison, speaking to the Associated Press, said the identity of the homeowner was not initially confirmed at the time of the incident.
Brad Pitt, 61, had most recently been seen attending the London premiere of ‘F1’ on Monday, just days before the film’s global theatrical release on June 27. The actor is currently traveling internationally for the movie’s promotional events. His representatives have declined to comment on the incident.
The residence in question was reportedly purchased by Pitt for $5.5 million in April 2023, according to AP reports.
This break-in follows a rising trend of burglaries targeting high-profile residences in Los Angeles. Recently, homes belonging to Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were also burglarized. LAPD officials have yet to confirm if the incidents are connected.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
