Brit Eady Skips Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 Reunion Amid Scandal Over Explicit Photo Allegations
Brit Eady’s sudden decision to skip The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 reunion has stunned her fellow cast members and reignited the controversy that led to Kenya Moore’s removal from the show. On Friday, June 27, Bravo dropped the first teaser for the upcoming three-part reunion, and within moments, viewers were greeted with gasps and disbelief as host Andy Cohen announced, “Brit Eady has decided not to join us.”
The sneak peek shows Cohen breaking the news to returning castmates Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Shamea Morton Mwangi, Kelli Ferrell, Angela Oakley, and Cynthia Bailey. A stunned Kelli Ferrell responds with a simple “Wow,” while another voice off-camera echoes, “What?”
Eady’s absence was not entirely unforeseen, following PEOPLE’s June 5 report that both she and longtime cast member Kenya Moore would not be attending. Moore, 54, was not invited after being suspended and later exiting the show amid controversy surrounding explicit photos allegedly from Eady’s past.
The drama ignited during an episode filmed at the grand opening of Moore’s Kenya Moore Hair Spa, when she displayed explicit images presumed to feature Eady. Following an internal Bravo investigation, Moore was suspended and later permanently removed from the show. At the time, Moore was the longest-running Housewife on RHOA.
On June 5, the same day as the reunion taping, Eady addressed the scandal in a statement via her Instagram Stories:
“I do not know who was in that photo, but upon seeing it for the first time recently, I now know it was not me,” she wrote. “I look forward to seeking accountability and moving past this dark part of my life.”
During the trailer, tensions flare when Porsha Williams suggests that Moore obtained the controversial photos through a current cast member. Cohen directly questions Kelli Ferrell, asking, “Did you send her the pictures?” leaving Ferrell visibly rattled and momentarily speechless.
Elsewhere in the preview, conflict brews between other Housewives. Phaedra Parks and Angela Oakley are seen exchanging barbs, while Williams and Shamea Morton Mwangi get into a heated exchange that leads to Williams walking off the set in frustration.
The reunion promises to unpack unresolved drama, explore the fallout from Moore’s scandalous exit, and shed light on Eady’s sudden withdrawal—all while leaving viewers guessing what might come next for Season 17.
With the absence of Brit Eady and Kenya Moore looming large, and bombshell confrontations still to come, the RHOA Season 16 reunion is shaping up to be one of the most dramatic yet. As alliances shift and questions linger, viewers are bracing for revelations, reckonings, and the raw emotion that has defined the franchise for over a decade.
