The 43-year-old singer reportedly began drinking vodka and smoking a cigarette mid-flight, raising concerns among the flight attendants and prompting intervention by authorities upon landing.

According to reports, Britney was accompanied by her security team when she lit a cigarette on board the aircraft, which is a serious violation of flight safety rules. Flight attendants immediately urged her to put it out, which she eventually did, but not before the incident was reported to the authorities.

Following the incident, Britney took to Instagram to share her side of the story. In a video posted from the jet, she appeared cheerful and explained that she had her first-ever vodka drink during the flight. Wearing a white outfit and a red bucket hat, she revealed that the plane’s unique design — with drink holders outside the seats — made the experience feel unusual yet “clear and smart.” Britney admitted she asked for a cigarette and was surprised to find out she could smoke on this particular plane, saying, “Oh, so this is a plane where you can smoke!”

She also apologized to anyone offended by her actions and noted that flight attendants usually seat her at the back of the plane. Britney shared how she felt “special” when greeted by authorities after landing, only to realize it was connected to the smoking incident.

TMZ sources confirmed that Britney was issued a warning by officials after the plane landed at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). She was not detained and was allowed to leave soon after. While police at LAX stated they were not involved at the time, customs authorities might have responded to the report.

As of now, the private jet company JSX has not commented on the situation.

This latest episode adds to Britney Spears’ ongoing public scrutiny, though she seems to be embracing her newfound “clear and smart” experience with vodka and cigarettes despite the backlash.
