Britney Spears Slams 'Cruel' Exes in Crazy Rant After Sam Asghari Says Marriage Hurt His Career
June 11, 2025 | Los Angeles — Britney Spears has lashed out at her ex-partners in a fiery Instagram post following recent remarks from ex-husband Sam Asghari, who alleged that their marriage had a negative impact on his career.

In her post Tuesday, Spears didn’t hold back, calling out unnamed “complete a–holes” she dated and accusing them of being “cruel humans” who failed to support her emotionally. The rant came just a day after Asghari’s interview with Page Six Radio where he said being married to Spears gave him visibility but also led casting directors to doubt his credibility.

“AN EXTREMELY SHADY WEEK AND NOT FEELING the love,” Spears wrote. “If I did, I’D GRACIOUSLY SEND IT RIGHT BACK TO YOUR ASS!!! F–KING BIRDS!!!”
The singer, 43, reflected on being disillusioned by people and expressed a stronger emotional bond with animals than with some of her former partners.
“I dated two f–king complete a–holes… I loved their dogs more than them. Their dogs bowed to me every time I entered the room!” she wrote.
Though Spears didn’t name the exes, her post arrived shortly after Asghari, 31, said their high-profile marriage “helped and hurt” his career. “When you’re in such a public relationship, that gives you a platform,” he admitted, but added that casting agents dismissed him as a “cheesy trainer associated with a pop star.”
Spears and Asghari met on the set of her “Slumber Party” video in 2016. They married in June 2022 but filed for divorce in August 2023. Their split was finalized in May 2024. Asghari has acknowledged he signed an NDA during the relationship.

Spears was previously married to Kevin Federline, with whom she shares two sons, and briefly to Jason Alexander in 2004.
