Brittany Cartwright says Jax insulted her body after she gave birth

July 30, 2025: Brittany Cartwright made shocking accusations against her separated husband, Jax Taylor, during the emotional first part of The Valley’s reunion, which aired on Tuesday, July 29. Cartwright, who is 36 years old, cried as she talked about how Taylor had body-shamed her, even after she gave birth to their son Cruz, who is now 4 years old. She said that his repeated insults hurt her self-esteem a lot when they were together.

After breaking up with Taylor, Cartwright talked about briefly seeing Taylor’s friend Julian Sensley. She said that dating inside their buddy circle could have sounded “weird,” but she stressed how important Sensley’s attention was to her “all-time low” confidence. “Julian paid attention to me when I needed it. He made me feel good about myself. He made me feel lovely. She said, “He gave me some confidence back,” and then she compared it to what Taylor is said to have done.

The emotional argument got worse when Cartwright directly accused Taylor of body-shaming her for having stretch marks after Cruz was born. “I mean, I had your son, and then you body-shamed me for stretch marks,” she said through tears. Taylor strongly rejected the claim, but the rest of the cast backed with Cartwright, saying they had read his harsh texts to his separated wife. Cartwright went on to say more about the supposed slur, saying, “He literally called me a tree trunk because I had stretch marks.” When a cast member pushed Taylor to say sorry, he finally said, “I am very sorry about all of this.”

This news comes at a time when they are still going through their divorce. On August 27, Cartwright filed for divorce and asked for primary legal and physical custody of Cruz. Taylor’s response on September 26 asked for Cartwright to have complete legal and physical custody of their kid, which was unexpected.
