Brooke Shields Reveals Why Only One Daughter Will Inherit Her Diamonds

June 6, 2025: Hollywood icon Brooke Shields has made a sparkling revelation — only one of her daughters will inherit her treasured jewelry collection. In a candid interview with Only Natural Diamonds, the 60-year-old actress shared that her younger daughter, Grier Henchy, 19, will receive her prized pieces, while her older daughter, Rowan, 22, is out of the running.

Shields explained the reason with a laugh, saying Rowan has “lost every piece” she’s ever gifted. In contrast, Grier “understands the difference between real and ‘real’” and appreciates the craftsmanship, legacy, and stories behind the jewels.

Brooke recalled how her mother instilled in her the value of self-worth and independence through jewelry. “My mom always said, ‘Buy yourself your own diamond — don’t wait to be given one from a man,’” she shared. That sentiment came to life when her mother gifted her an emerald-cut diamond, now set in a Verdura cuff.

From pearl shopping in Asia to hunting brooches in Europe, Shields cherishes the memory of exploring jewelry stores with her mom. She believes this tradition stems from her mother’s upbringing during the Great Depression, where jewelry symbolized a dream for a better life.

Now, Brooke is keeping that legacy alive — but only for the daughter who truly gets it.
