BTS’ Strongest Member? RM and Jungkook Say It’s Definitely Taehyung

July 20, 2025: Though BTS is technically on hiatus until their official 2026 comeback, the members haven’t faded from view — especially not Kim Taehyung (V). Between surprise appearances and casual livestreams, BTS continues to feed the ARMY with updates, and lately, the fandom’s obsessed with one question: Who’s the strongest member right now? Surprisingly (or not), the answer is a unanimous Taehyung.

During a recent string of livestreams, RM, Jungkook, and V dubbed themselves the “workout crew,” but even within this fit trio, one man clearly stands above the rest. “Shocking news! Kim Taehyung is stronger than me,” RM admitted live, with Jungkook quickly echoing: “He’s stronger than me too.”

The pair couldn’t stop hyping V’s transformation, which took place during his military service in the elite Special Duty Team (SDT) — South Korea’s toughest counter-terrorism unit. Unlike RM and Jungkook, who’ve been sticking to lighter routines, Taehyung dove into full-on weight training and elite-level discipline. “We can’t even finish the sets he does now,” RM added.

And it shows. V earned Sergeant rank, received the prestigious Special Warrior badge, was named an ace marksman, and will have his name etched into the SDT’s Hall of Fame for the next year.

“I’ve been consistent,” Taehyung humbly said, brushing off the compliments. But RM wasn’t having it: “He was lifting weights in the Special Forces. I’d lose to him in a fight.”

Fans are loving this new, tougher version of V. Once known as the soft-hearted “Winter Bear,” he’s now being dubbed a “real-life action hero.” One fan gushed, “The way they can’t stop talking about Taehyung’s physique 😭.” Another joked, “These three are on a mission to become HULKS.”

Meanwhile, Suga is keeping a low profile, while J-Hope and Jin are making waves with solo shows in Tokyo and Berlin. But the rest of the group — RM, Jungkook, V, and Jimin — have been active on livestreams, dropping one unexpected gem after another.

And here’s the kicker: all seven members are currently in the U.S., reportedly working on new music together. With J-Hope and Jin expected to join the others in Los Angeles, fans believe something major is brewing — beyond just Taehyung’s biceps.
