Businessman Boby Chemmanur Taken Into Custody Over Sexual Harassment Complaint By Malyalam Actress

January 8, 2025: Boby Chemmanur, a prominent Kerala-based businessman, was taken into custody by the Wayanad police in connection with a sexual harassment complaint filed by Malayalam actress Honey Rose. The complaint was officially lodged at the Ernakulam Central Police Station in Kochi.

According to police officials, a case was registered against Chemmanur under Section 75 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, which deals with sexual harassment, and Section 67 of the IT Act, related to the transmission of obscene material electronically.

Following the registration of the case, the businessman was apprehended in Kalpetta, Wayanad, and is currently being interrogated by the police. Authorities have indicated that Chemmanur will be transported to Kochi for further investigation as the inquiry progresses.
