July 11, 2025: Get ready to tee off like Happy Gilmore—Callaway has unveiled a nostalgic yet modern twist on one of golf’s most iconic movie moments. In celebration of Happy Gilmore 2, set to release on Netflix July 25, Callaway is launching a limited-edition run of Odyssey putters and golf balls inspired by the cult comedy classic. The highlight? A redesigned hockey-stick-style putter, priced at $499.99, that pays homage to Adam Sandler’s unforgettable character.

Back in 1996, Odyssey released 1,000 of the original putters, which quickly became prized collector’s items. Now, with Callaway at the top of the golf gear world, the brand is reviving the legend—this time using modern technology while preserving that Happy Gilmore flair.
Nick Mclnally, Callaway’s VP of global marketing, said the club’s design was settled fast, but crafting the perfect head cover took nearly a month of back-and-forth. The result is a collector’s dream with plenty of personality.
While the putter doesn’t conform to PGA rules, Mclnally anticipates many fans will still take it out for a round—or proudly display it at home. “We don’t want them absolutely everywhere,” he said. “We want it to be something people treasure.”
Much like Happy himself, golf has evolved from stiff tradition to embracing street style and individuality. Callaway’s collaboration captures that evolution—blending pop culture, nostalgia, and a little irreverent fun for fans of both the sport and the Sandler classic.
