July 8, 2025: Jessie J has shared an uplifting health update with her fans! On Monday, July 7, the 37-year-old singer took to Instagram to announce that her breast cancer had not spread after undergoing a mastectomy. In a heartfelt video, Jessie is seen teaching her 2-year-old son, Sky Safir — whom she shares with her partner Chanan Safir Colman — to say “Mommy’s gonna be okay,” a phrase he adorably repeats.

Alongside the clip, the “Price Tag” singer expressed overwhelming gratitude, writing, “And…I AM OK. Results = I have NO cancer spread 😭😭😭.” She continued, “Thank YOU for the prayers, the love, the well wishes, the joy and all the positive energy.” Jessie also described the video as being taken the night before her surgery, calling her son her “biggest ray of light.”

Jessie revealed she still has one breast reconstruction surgery left and joked, “Lots of healing to go and one more surgery to make these cousins look more like sisters.” Remaining positive, she added, “For now it’s gratitude time and I am changing my name to The LopJess monster.” In June, Jessie had revealed she was diagnosed with early breast cancer, emphasizing that “early” was the keyword she clung to for hope.

Since her surgery, Jessie J has shared snippets of her recovery journey, including feeling sore but managing without pain medication. She expressed how much she missed being an “active mom” but appreciated the forced slowdown. In her words, she’s feeling “positive and grateful” — a sentiment she carried with her when she declared during her June 16 performance at Wembley, “This is my last show before I go to beat breast cancer!”
